The Cascadia Village apartment complex is a 75-unit ground-up complex developed by Affordable Community Environments (ACE) and the Housing Development Center (HDC). TEAM Construction was brought in during the conceptual stage and provided the preliminary cost estimate for the project. As additional drawings became available, TEAM developed several more construction estimates and eventually created the final budget used for the project’s funding. Several different funding sources were used for this project including the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Washington State Housing Financing Commission, The Enterprise Social Investment Corporation and the Washington Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development. Each different entity had unique reporting requirements that needed to be met prior to fund disbursement. The first phase of the project was completed in January of 2004 and the second phase was completed in July of 2005.
